It's all in the concentrates

Cannabis concentrates are the result of distilling down the most desired parts of the cannabis plant.

They contain all the cannabinoids and terpenes of the cannabis flower with none of the excess plant material. Concentrates allow you to experience the best parts of cannabis in a many ways including dabbing, sprinkling in a joint or incorporated in a batch of delicious edibles.

Concentrates are made without the use of solvents and are produced using mechanical or physical means to remove and gather trichomes e.g. rosin or dry sift. Whereas extracts are a specific type of concentrate made using a solvent e.g. shatter or wax.

So, while all extracts are concentrates, not all concentrates are extracts.

Today we see concentrate and extract artists taking extraction methods to innovative heights, which is why so many new and exciting forms of concentrates are emerging.

One such delicious concentrate is crumble. Crumble, otherwise known as "honeycomb" wax is a versatile cannabis extract that has a really malleable texture which "crumbles" when handled. Processors extract cannabis resin from the plant with a solvent such as butane. During the purging steps, they apply heat and vacuum filtration to remove the solvents. This beautiful extract can be used as a dab or sprinkled over the top of your favourite dry flower in a bowl or joint.
